Hi everyone!

So i just came back from shopping for fuds for Leo for the week and came across a bunch of new flavours, Friskies and Wellness and of course the new Sophisticat brand Great Choice i think its called? I picked up a can of everything and wanted to see if anyone knows of the carb content.

Friskies - Classic Pate Chicken with Garden Greens (Indoor)
Friskies - Saucy Seafood Bake with Garden Greens in Sauce (Indoor)
Friskies - Chunky Chicken& Turkey Casserole with Garden Greens (Indoor)
Friskies - Flaked Ocean Whitefish Dinner with Garden Greens in Sauce (Indoor)
Wellness - Turkey Dinner with Morsels in Savory Gravy
Wellness - Chicken Entree with Morsels in Savory Gravy
Wellness - Salmon & Trout

I'm sure some of these new formulas have been around in the US for quite awhile, but we in Canada don't have nearly as many kitty food choices. Looks like Friskies is trying to keep up with FF and their elegant medleys formulas, i was hoping there was a few that were <10%. I'm sure the Wellness flavours that have gravy in them aren't good to eat everyday, but would they be MC or HC fuds? Also, are we assuming that Great Choice is going to be the same carb content as Sophisticat?

Thanks in advance!!

Sorry I don't know the answers to your question. There is that list from…sorry, "brain fog" can't think of name @-)

The link to the info on Janet & Binky's list is to the Wellness pate style food. It's not to the chunky (sliced, cubed, or minced) varieties.

Tracy -- you may want to ask on Health and see if someone knows. I think the pouches are MC. I don't know about the chunkier varieties of Wellness.

Re - The Sophistacat, now 'Great Choice' - Petsmart person said they were only changing their name/labels but not the food inside. I know my 'Friskies' cats will eat most of the flavors. At 36 cents a can, sure makes my food dollars go further. 'Great Choice' has been store brand in the dog food for a while.

Hugs!

interested to see what others have to say.. being a fellow Canuck!

I've been using Snappy Tom which we get here in Canada, as a 0 carb treat/snack... the Merrick stuff for the regular LC and Friskies pate's for MC, I'm hoping that that IS correct! you can get Friskies at 36c a CAN at petsmart? wow.

The Great Choice has some ingredients listed in a different order, but none of the ingredients are different. They don't seem to affect Mikey's numbers any differently. If anything, he's been better since they switched.
