both my cats (one diabetic one not) have been on Evo for some time now, i want to change it up a bit because i can tell there is boredom setting in, i go to a local natural pet store where i get my food, i was asking about the other brands they have

has anyone heard of Tiki cat, B.F.F and im not sure how good Weruva is....i just received some pamphlets and will start with looking at the sites but figured i would ask if anyone has heard of them.

thanks!
Jennie

Weruva http://www.weruva.com/ The canned food is good but some varieties contain rice and/or starches which may affect bgs for some cats. I've only fed the Mack and Jack one and the Paw Lickin Chicken one. The food tends to be mostly water with little actual food :-Q Weruva also makes the Cats In The Kitchen pouched foods in gravy which may affect bgs.

Weruva also makes the B.F.F (Best Feline Friend) brand: http://bestfriendsfoods.com/aboutfood.html It's a mostly all seafood based brand. Some are in gravy which means the carb content is a bit high and may affect bg levels. The aspic (jelly) ones look ok but you don't want to feed seafood all the time.

Weruva also makes Soulistic http://www.soulisticpet.com/cuisine.php and sells this brand at Petco, kind of like a lesser expensive brand of Weruva and BFF. The gelee (aspic/jelly) varieties look pretty ok but mostly seafood based again. The gravy ones have starch which may affect bgs.

Tiki Cat http://www.petropics.com/default2.htm Another mostly seafood based brand. The online catalog isn't currently working but I've uploaded the PDF copy I have of the ingredients here. A more updated list can be found here at OnlyNaturalPet.com

You can certainly mix up the diet by adding a new food once in awhile  Just be sure to feed the diabetic foods without any sources of potential carbs and from sneaking food out of the civie's bowl if you feed the civie a not-so-diabetic friendly food.

i feed both cats the same to make life easier
they do like wellness but seem to eat more on that kind.
i just want to mix it up without having repercussions from treating them. i did notice the tiki cat being more fish... this food place i go to have alot of brands i dont see in a normal store so ill have to get names and start checking the sites.

thanks for your help
