Last week, my baby Atreyu was diagnosed. In March he turned 13. After talking with the Hubby we decided to treat. Today was our first insulin shot. Everything went well. Had him eating as I gave the shot and he didn't even notice. All I can say is I'm glad this is treatable because we've put down two pets in the last 20 months and I really didn't want to make it three!!!

Welcome to this group! I am glad you have decided to treat your kitty. I, too, had several losses of my furbabies around my cat’s diabetes diagnosis. It’s been hard but fighting for her has been very worth it. FDMB is a wealth of information and support, and we are glad to help you so Atreyu can start feeling better. :)
