Hello
I saw a message with a link for a new food data table from Dr Pierson at catinfo.org.
However when I tried to click on the link it was still the 2017 version. And now I can't find the post again.
Would like to be able to access
Thanks!

Hi, Here is the link you requested, the foods are the same as today, remember the best foods for your fur baby should be wet can foods, since cats cannot digest carbs and damage the pancreas they must be of 0-10 % carbs, always have on hand Medium carbs such as 10-12% and high carbs, usually gravies 10-15% , for when the BG is lower than 50, I prefer Fancy Feasts they are US regulated, large variety, and not expensive, but you preference as long as within the right carbs are good:bighug::bighug::cat::cat:

Hi Corky
Thank u for the link but I can't get it to work. It just flashes and turns color.
Then when I copy and paste it, the data table it takes me to is the 2017 food chart not the new one that Dr Pierson refers to

the newest data is on the chart which is labeled 2017. I believe some items were updated but the date on the chart was not.

Enter in The Main Forum, scroll down you will find the link direction straight to the Food Chart, click there. remember the date is from 2017 but the foods are still the same, with the exclusion of the newest flavors, I call Chewey.com 800-672-4399 if I see a new food and call them to ask the amount of Carbs in it, they are very helpful, also if you are interested in the forum and want to share your concerns, it would be great if you set up a spreadsheet for your cat, so the members can see everything about his progress and you can log in the BG's as you home test, it it the best way to help in your concerns, and tell us about lag tests, what food you feed, how often, what insulin how much all Vets diagnosis, here is the link, this way the experts can guide to an easy process to your baby's progress, and if you need assistance to set up the SS we can help you as well, download it on Google Drive
You will find a link to the spreadsheet in THIS LINK

There is not a more recent version of that food table, unfortunately (not that I am aware of.) The problem with the older food chart is that there are so many new foods and food manufacturers out there since 2017. None of those are on the chart. Also, many of the formulas for foods that are on Dr. Lisa’s chart have changed their formulas over the years.

Is the confusion because it says “new” food chart? In 2017 it was a new update to an even older chart.

I have a chart with a lot of different foods on it that is up to date. It is for cats with chronic kidney disease though so the foods on these any lists are low to moderate phosphorus foods. There is a list specifically for diabetic cats though that shows foods that are low carb and also low phosphorus. Scroll down to the fifth list for the diabetes/ckd list for low carb low phosphorus foods. Here is the list. I hope this helps.
