New bottle came with too little insulin?

Hey all,

I’ve been using ProZinc insulin with Mowgli for 6 months now. I just got a bottle overnighted because our vet didn’t have it in (he missed a dose, which is annoying, but long story). Am I crazy or does this look like much less insulin than should be in the bottle? It also has a ton of air bubbles. Wondering if I’m justified to contact Covetrus that we order through with our vet to complain and get more sent.

Hopefully that link works for the image. If it doesn’t, the insulin level is just under the label on the bottle and we have only taken 5 units out for 1 dose in a U40 1/2cc syringe.
 
@Shelley & Jess what do you think? The bottle looks weird with all those bubbles. And the bottle wasn’t shaken? I think something isn’t right about it. My ProZinc never had bubbles in the vial. I am sure you know that you are supposed to just roll the vial to gently mix it before drawing out the insulin.

I thought it looked weird too. It wasn’t shaken by me! I always roll it and rotate for a bit but I’m careful to never shake. I suppose it could have been a transit issue since I did need to have it delivered but I’ve had it delivered before and not had this issue.
 
We have been using ProZinc for almost 9 years and have never seen a bottle with bubbles. Yes, you are justified to contact Covetrus and your vet. We always get ours from the vet...who knows what the delivery services do with the packages. If vet says it is safe to use go ahead while your revues a replacement form Covertus.

I don't remember bubbles either (it's been quite awhile though) so had a look at online images. Most were 'flat' and bubble free, but, did find a couple with bubbles. (I didn't read, just looked at pics, the 2nd one is pretty bubbly)

Wow. Those are a little bubbly. I don’t recall my PZ looking like that.
