So i needed a new lancet device asap because mine broke. I called Bayer and they can send me one for free but i won't get it till early next week. Well, duh, i can't wait that long so i went to Shoppers to just buy a whole new meter package with the lancet device. Well the one by me doesn't carry mine anymore but they had a new one that looks the exact same.... the woman told me it IS the same just new packaging(which i didn't clue in to the change of name, i just assumed she would know)... so i bought it then as i was walking away i stopped and went "Hey".... i should go double check. PLUS, if i'm eligible to recieve it for free if i buy a box of the strips. So i went and talked to a different woman and she said no, it's not the same. It looks the same but it takes different strips. yadda yadda.. Anyway, she couldn't get through to the Rep to see if the free thing applied so i said forget it, i'll take it home and compare it to mine at home. Well i got home and realized i didn't buy the strips for the new one.
I was just wondering if anyone has used this or knows if it is in fact a good option?? I'm gonna check the price of the strips tonight and maybe buy some and compare readings against the one i have.
