? Needs Probiotic

Does anyone know of a good probiotic. I have changed my cats food, I am trying to mix some current food in with his new food and his bowel movement are very loose. I called his vet and they said to give him Forti Flora, I don't think it will help. So, if anyone knows of something please let me know(soon).
 
You might also ask your vet if proviable paste (or another kaolin paste) would be ok. I’ve used it in my non diabetic cat
 
Honestly, I cannot afford this product. I was having Problems trying to order this and then i thought I live On Social Security by the time I spend over 100.00 a month on food and then this . I was having trouble getting order through so I might try again.

If you can’t afford it try the forte flora first, and the food changes more slowly, and see if the vet thinks kaolin would be ok to try, or the proviable probiotics. I agree visbiome is over priced
 
@CORKY isn’t there a group that helps people with paying for the diabetic supplies? Maybe if they can help with all of that it helps a little as Teresa is buying so many other things like new foods and stuff for diarrhea

My cat Has insurance but this is not a prescription and they do not pay for food. But, I went ahead and ordered anyway to be over nighted. If it was prescription they would pay for 90%. He needs something because he was eating Royal Canin, then I put him on friskies, then I changed him to purina pro plan.

is good for dogs and cats. The dose is weight based, under 20# is one to two per day. I usually use one but when he had really loose poop I did one morning and one night. They last a long time in the fridge

This is for CONSTIPATED cats but some people think bc it has a cat on box to get this for diarrhea

That’s weird. Maybe because of the holiday. Call or use the online chat and if they aren’t overnight shipping it they should refund that charge. I’ve had good luck dealing with their customer support, it’s US based not overseas
 
Btw it looks like no more hypo events so that’s good. How are you feeling about his dose? Things getting under control aside from the diarrhea (which I know is a huge thing)?

I am afraid if I wait for normal shipping it will take longer. KitKat is laying in his bed eating from his feeder(which he loves) like everything is fine.

If you do not get this from the vet, does your ins still pay fpr this. KitKat has Vets Best ins, I guess I could call some time and ask them. My vet recommend FortiFlora.

I ordered it a while ago, I paid for it to be over nighted. I got back on their sight and they only over night on Mondays and Thursdays. So, I will not get it by Tuesday, i will be calling asking for my over night charge back.

I probably would have tried S Noulardi+Mos, but I had already ordered the other Visbiome, which i need for very loose bowels. I am not going to get the Visbiome until Tuesday, if I get it then.

I looked at this probiotic on Amazon, but I had already ordered the other one. I paid for it to be overnighted, as I found out later they only overnight on Monday & Thursday. If I do not get it by Tuesday, I will probably order The one you are talking about. Just in case how much did you give your cat.
 
I followed the directions on the site I linked above. Chai’s diarrhea was so bad everything she ate came out the other end. She was quite nauseous as well so I syringed fed her baby food.

My cats stool is darker than usual.

Proviable DC (dog cat) is an alternative that can help. Forti Flora isn’t going to cut it. I use Visbiome Vet, but it is expensive. I have used Proviable DC in year’s past. I understand it is very expensive (the Visbiome.)

Re. Visbiome: since you already ordered it — I will just say that it is really the best — but it will take some weeks to see improvement with this or any probiotic. I use it in by IBD kitties and have been able to cut back (by half) on his anti-inflammatory
