Need urgent help with dosing

My cat sitter has been unable to give the shot. I am heading home and will be there by +6. Can I give insulin then and what dose can I give?
 
You will home test first right? and sitter will let you know the last time kitty was fed?
 
or consider this a fur shot (skipped shot) and start over at the normal +12 time. Remember if you are using lantus (then you are just depleting the shed), that may be a better way of handling this than giving a shot at +6
 
I agree with the fur shot pretend scenario. :) I saw that you got a fur shot a while back, you gave only .25u. You could do that, or skip it and just collect data.
 
Thank you for the advice! I'm home now, and I guess we'll just wait until morning. When we gave 0.25 units after the fur shot, part of my thinking was that we were in the process of slowly increasing dose and would have been comfortable with a starting shot 0.25 units higher than we gave. At this point, she's often so low, I'm afraid to have her with any extra during the cycle tomorrow.
