Need Suggestions on Dosing Amount for Tonight

Hannah is currently on 1.2 U of ProZinc, twice a day. We just started this new dose yesterday morning. It didn't seem to have much effect on yesterday's numbers, but today she has had numbers in the lower 200s for the past 6 hours... something that doesn't usually happen for us. At her PMPS, she was at 230. I know it's high enough to shoot, but I have no experience at shooting these lower numbers and could sure use some dosing advice before we try again in about a half-hour. Suggestions, please.. and thanks.

1.2 units dropped her about 200 mg/dL
Starting at a pre-shot half that number, it might be safe to shoot 1/3 to 1/2 of that, or 0.4 to 0.6 units. This is a very rough estimate.
If you are OK with a possible late night monitoring and steering the numbers, go with 0.6 units. Otherwise, go with 0.4, but get a before bed test to be on the safe side.

Wow, I'm in the same boat tonight. Bud has been giving me high preshots of 350-450 and tonight he throws me a 250... Will you be around to monitor? It looks like 1.0 unit gives you a drop of 200 points so maybe 0.5 would give you a drop of 100 points? I'm only guessing but 0.5 sounds like the safe way to go. Maybe a smidge higher if you're feeling aggressive and can monitor closely.

Where's @BJM? She's good at looking at this stuff.

I've caught a GI bug that has me running to the bathroom and my phone battery just died. Managed to post for Hannah first.
I'll come over to Bud's in a second, in between bathroom runs and plugging in.

Thanks @BJM and @Stacym20!! It's so good to know you are here for us. Can't tell you how much that means to me! I'm so used to shooting those high numbers, I'm left totally unprepared for the lower ones. I sort of had the thought to shoot 0.4U, but I really needed to hear from someone who knows what they're talking about, who has "been there, done that." Hannah hasn't had much of an appetite all day, today. It seems when her numbers drop, so does her desire to eat... and that's not that good to begin with. So, considering the lower numbers AND little food onboard, went with the 0.4U. I will check her numbers in about 2 hours, just before bedtime.

Stacy, good luck with Bud, this evening. What would we do for fun if our kitties didn't give us these surprises to test our abilities and keep us guessing?! Never a dull moment!

And BJ, sounds like your night is off to a bad start. Sorry about that! :( Hope you get to feeling better.

Eh, the GI issues seems to have slowed down a tad. Maybe I'll be lucky and it mutated to a less virulent form.

Keep in mind that the dosing math is "stretchy" and not exact. Plus, there are a lot of factors that go into glucose levels, so always be prepared with your hypo kit and your ketone test strips.
