Hello, just wondering if I can get some eyes on Jax's spreadsheet and see how his glucose curve looks? It's my first time doing it and I'm not sure if the numbers look appropriate or if I need to change his insulin amount or keep it as is? Thanks
He hasn't been on that dose long. He started at 2 units and then the vet had me increase it in .5 unit intervals and this was starting May 9 when I was there last. Is there anyone you can tag that might be more familiar with pet meter numbers? Thanks
The pet meter numbers run a bit lower than a human meter. The bigger challenge is that it would be very helpful if you could get at least one PM cycle test. Without tests during the PM cycle, you're missing half of your data. Many cat's numbers are lower at night so you could be missing the opportunity to reduce Jax's dose.
This is a link to the Prozinc forum. You might want to look over the sticky note on dosing methods. We change doses in 0.25u increments. We also encourage you to evaluate the effectiveness of the dose every 7 days unless a dose reduction is indicated.
