After posting yesterday about Lily's BG I was able to check it several different times. I lowered her dose but it is now going higher. Please look at her spreadsheet and give me any suggestions about what to do

She is bouncing from the overnight lows and skipped shots. Give the 2U at least 6 cycles to see how she does.

What's going on today is what we call a "bounce". Bounces happen when 1. they drop too low, 2. they drop too fast, 3. they drop into numbers their body isn't used to anymore (or any combination of all 3). While dropping into the 80's is totally safe, her body has gotten used to living in higher numbers so although she didn't drop "too low", her liver reacted like she did and released stored sugars and hormones to bring the blood glucose up. It can take up to 6 cycles for a bounce to clear.

There's nothing you can really do but wait for those hormones to clear and see what the 2U dose will actually do for her.

Just an FYI...any time you get a test number that's out of character (like an 86 when she's been so much higher) it's a good idea to immediately re-test to make sure it wasn't just a wonky test strip.
