Right now, it's still a challenge for me to test my cat alone. It takes a two person team to do testing. (Please, do not look at my spreadsheet at the moment, it desperately needs updated. I've had three deaths, a devastating fire in the family and another sick cat on my hands, as well as horrific carpal tunnel. It's been a MESS. I'll update it soon)
Anyway, Sid's schedule is normally 7:30 AM and PM. My husband has a work schedule switch for three-four days to nights. After that it will be a normal schedule again. This happens about once per month. We are working on getting me to be able to test alone, but right now, it's impossible.
Anyway, I need to move Sid to 11am/pm for this time. I know that I probably just wait until later that night to start the first night, but when moving back to his regular schedule after the nights are over..there won't be a way to STEP him back...will he need to miss an entire 24 hours to get back on track? Or only a 12 hour dose?

I hope this makes sense. Thanks for any help!

Sorry to hear about all that has happened lately.:bighug:

Does your husband have any days off between shift changes or is one day to night switch or the other way around, immediately?

Thank you. The stress has been just ridiculous. So the switch starts immediately to nights, but the transition back to days, he has a Sunday off. He works nights Thur - Saturday, then off Sunday, then back to days.

OK, Saturday night 11pm shot to Monday 7:30am shot is 32.5 hours. Your options are either two 16 hour cycles, shooting at Saturday 11pm, Sunday 3 pm, then Monday 7am, or a 12 hour cycle followed by a 20 hour cycle. I think the former is probably better from a blood sugar point of view. And you have some wiggle room on the 16 hour cycles, as long as they aren’t closer than 12 hours. What do you think?
