Hello,

My vet and you guys have told me not to shoot her under 200 for the time being. I just called the vet and left a voicemail but I also wanted to ask the experts ☺️.

Based on instructions, I haven’t given her a shot 4/6 of the last scheduled doses.

Whats the next step/adjustment?

If Lana has been this consistently in numbers you're not comfortable shooting, what would you think about reducing the dose to 0.5u? Her numbers are still higher than normal so it looks to me like a bit of insulin may help. The current 1.0u dose may be a bit much. However, with Lantus, you need to be giving insulin on consistent basis (i.e., not skipping) in order to get the benefit of how the insulin works. It's the kind of insulin that needs to build up in a cat's system so skipping means you're never getting the level you need.

I wouldn’t say I’m not comfortable shooting just following directions.
My goal is her happiness and the pipe dream of remission. The current dose is 1.0 which was just dropped from 2.0.
I was surprised to see her not jump over 200 last night when not getting a dose.
Is spot dosing bad for their regulation?

I agree with Sienne. I would drop the dose to 0.5 unit each cycle and see if you can shoot all the cycles.
Also you need to be getting at least one test in during every cycle around +6 to see how low the dose is taking your kitty.
