So Hoot has been OTJ for 6 months. He has got into some contraband and his BG is hovering in the low 200's. It doesn't seem to want to go back down on it's own so I have called the vet to get some more Lantus. The problem is I can't log in. I had written down the user name and password but it says I have the wrong user name. I need help ASAP so I can get Hoot back on track. I had to re-register under a new name and password so I could write a post and you would see it. I sent some e-mails to the moderator but got no reply. I wasn't sure if I should use the "911" icon, but didn't know how else to get your attention. I have updated his spreadsheet.

Thanks,
Pam & Hoot

to get back to your original user name and password.

Log out.
Log back in and enter your old user name. Which was Pam & Hoot (remember to put in the spaces)
under the password box are the words 'I forgot my password'
click on that
Next screen prompts you for your user name and email address.
Information will be sent to the email account you used to register the first time.

Thanks soooooo much. I thought I might have lost all our info...UGH! I logged in just fine. I will take the "911" off that post and thanks again!!!!

Pam,
Those instructions should do the trick (thanks, Deb!).
You'll have to create a new password after you get that email.

When was the last time that Hoot had a checkup at the vet? Before spending the $$$ on a new batch of lantus, maybe have the vet run blood tests to rule out another cause for the increase in BGs?

He was at the vet a couple of months ago, but just for his toenail (the whole thing got ripped out, ouch!) but no blood work done. What blood work should he do?

I think I'd just request a full blood panel. If he sees any funky numbers in the results, that will indicate if any follow up tests for a specific condition make sense. Something as simple as dental problems can raise the numbers if they are causing pain or infection.

About how long have you been seeing 200s?

Well I checked him on 5/19 and his BG was 91. Then I checked him on 5/27 and it was 231. I know he had been eating some dry food from the neighbor, but have had him in the house since 5/27 thinking it would go down knowing he wasn't getting any dry food but it hasn't.

I have started another post because this one is just a temporary login. I think we should move over to that post, Thanks
