Mr. B has had 2 cortisone shots, the last one month ago which has worn off. I hate to give him aother shot, but he's having trouble eating. And, my regular vet is on vacation and I don't have confidence in his partner. I made an appointment with her for this afternoon, because we're going away on Friday for a week. My niece feeds the cats, but I don't know how to tell her to take care of Mr. B. Another cortisone shot seems the only answer unless I can somehow get someone to prescribe Zithromax for him. Any suggestions?

Clindomyacin tends to help Yoda for about a month or two. It would be a good interim antibiotic until you can finagle the Zithromax. (and its cheap)
