My Zowe went into remission a year ago in september. Since then he has had great numbers, usually around 80. Recently he got into some bread and I have been noticing that he has been losing weight, drinking a lot, etc. Two days ago he started throwing up a lot and has been lethargic. He won't eat but still drinks water. He struggles to stay up when he walks.
I took his blood sugar and it was 476. I should have been checking him and that was a mistake on my part.

I contacted the vet and they won't give me insulin without bringing him in. He is terrified of leaving the house (always has been) and I don't want to stress him out, I honestly think that he will pass away if I do. If he dies I want him to go in peace.
He was on Prozinc. Does anyone know how I can get a little bit of insulin (even like a .5 unit) to get him in better shape so that I can bring him in?

Have you thought of a mobile vet to come out? I know there's one up in the Lake Villa area, there might be others.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I was able to get him checked out and he wasn't doing very well. I made the decision to put him to sleep so he didn't suffer anymore. The vet did it for free, bless her heart.
I just buried him in the yard.

:(

rest in peace zozo.
