Hey, need some advice guys. The last two days have been good on his BG duration, but has really messed up our schedule times. He stays in the low blues @ +12, +13 or> and then starts to climb. So i have given 1.2u just so he doesn't go without any insulin through the night. Then i wait 12hrs from that shot to give him his next full dose. My question is: Do i really need to wait 12hrs from the reduced shot to start the next cycle? I know that PZI is usually going out of system by 8hrs, but i'm not sure how much to give @+8hrs? Do i give full dose if in the 300's, or something different? I have a sliding scale i can use for TR, but want to make sure this would be right.

I really need to get him back on a regular 12 hr schedule and not @ 12am and 12pm which it is at now. Any ideas guys?

Thanks!

One of the reasons why the dose is reduced when you shoot late is so that you can give the next shot at the normal time. When do you want the normal shot time to be?
We can get you there.

Oh, didn't know that. I thought i was supposed to wait for the 12hrs from last insulin shot. I want to get back on 8 to 8 schedule.

Just got a reading @+3 152. That is very low so early. I have to leave for an hour or so and will be back. Hope he does ok. I just fed him some food to help while i'm gone.
