Need advice ASAP

My cat had like 5 pieces of his young again at 3am EST. At 5:30am EST he got his steroid and ate only half of his half of cup of DM dry food. Literally within 10 minutes he threw up a little of his food and the tiny piece of steroid. Idk I don't have a home test I don't feel comfortable giving him his insulin shot at 6am EST now. Should I wait till 6pm EST to give him his dosage instead? My vet is not in today for me to ask this question. He only gets 1 unit twice a day.

From your other post I can see you are giving Prozinc.
Have you been testing at all or just giving the insulin?
Will he eat more for you now?
It is very hard to help you when we don’t have any data.
Are you thinking of doing hometesting?

It does not look like you are home testing. I would recommend that you buy a human glucose meter and start testing. That is the only way to really know if it is safe to give the dose and how well it is working. Any human glucose meter will work and if you are in the US, the Walmart Relion brand meters are good and also inexpensive to use.

What insulin and dose are you giving him? Overall, it is better to skip the morning shot if he got sick and you do not know his glucose reading. You do not want to risk hypoglycemia.
