I give my cat insulin at 3 in the afternoon. A friend needs me to take her home from work. My vet didn't tell me much about the insulin. Can feed Suzie and give it to her about 20 minutes early. like at 2:40? I think it should be okay but want to check. It will take me about 1 hour perhaps a little longer to get back home and I don't want to put it off over an hour.

Thanks for helping my and Suzie apperciate it more then you know. I just about lost hope until I found this board.

Your still on N right? If so you should be fine, since N doesn't last as long as some of the gentler insulins like Lantus, Levermir or PZI. I know that when I was on N with Muse, my vet did tell me that I could adjust my injection times within a 30 minute window. Just make sure she has eaten first, so she has food in her tummy. N hits pretty hard, but wears off quick.

Thank you I will do. I will go give her some fancy feast appertizers as I know she will eat that well. thanks for answering

Feed a little more food when you get back, I believe the appetizers are pretty low in carbs and I'd want to have more carbs when working with N.

If you use the appetizers a lot as snacks, I was given a lot of coupons for them, they expire on April 30th but you can have them if you'd like.
