My cat has been on this for years until a couple a few days ago. He and another cat had IBS and the limited ingredient diet worked well for them. About two weeks ago he began to eat less and less and seemed to be having problems eating. He wanted to eat, go by his bowl, follow me to kitchen, etc., but just wouldn't. Blood tests and urine came back negative.
Fast forward a week later and he had dropped two lbs and blood was still all normal. He just couldn't bring himself to eat. That night I was at wits end and decided to give him some ham slices. He devoured it within a minute. I ran to Pet Smart to get a few different foods to see what he liked. He ended up liking Simply Nourish the best though he ate them all. I'm waiting to hear back from vet in how I should proceed as it seems there may be a positioning that happened with the Natural Balance food. It all happened when I started a new case of food. He was at death's doorstep.
Now, I was looking for some nutritional table info about Simply Nourish but I can't find them anywhere. He was pre-diabetic years ago and Fancy Feast was able to have him never need insulin as he stabilized. I want to keep it that way. Below are the ingredients for the flavor he likes, he's eating three cans a day now. Any help would be much appreciated.
