If your cat has no other health issues, you can home test yourself, the BG numbers at the vets office will alway read higher due to the cats stress, do you home test? What insulin are you using if any? You can do a curve at home, all you need to do is test every two hours for 1 cycle (12 hours) save your money, unless your cat has other other health issues I will tag another member to review our posts, perhaps she can also give input on the emails

@CORKY yes I've started testing at home the last 3 days and yesterday I did a mini curve because his BG has been low and I haven't given him insulin. My results from yesterday are in one of the pictures I posted to this thread. That was their response to the curve numbers

It would be really helpful if you could get a spreadsheet going. It's hard to go back to older threads to see what your cat's numbers have been. The spreadsheet instructions are here: https://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/how-to-create-a-spreadsheet.241706/ @Bandit's Mom can help you.

When was the last time you gave insulin?

Yesterday's mini curve:

AM PS 4.3 mmol / 77.4 mg dl
+5 3.9 mmol / 70.2 mg dl
+9 4.3 mmol / 77 mg dl
PM PS 4.8 mmol / 86.4 mg dl

These are nice normal numbers without insulin :) If your cat keeps this up, maybe your cat is heading towards remission :) You do not need to bring your cat in for a recheck or blood work or anything.

Great, you are on the right path, in order to assist you better since we are very numbers oriented, we would like you to create your signature and spreadsheet, the links below, the SS will be downloaded on GOOGLE DRIVE, so we can all be on the same page to review, if you need assistance on the SS we can help you as well, once you have the SS ready put all the data in the SS including all the BG data 🤗

@squeem3 I know I'm sorry I've tried setting it up a few times and I'm not gonna lie it's really confusing x.x
I've just been writing it down in a notebook.
The last time he was given insulin was Wednesday morning.

it's ok , glad you have the data written down, I will tag a member to assist you in doing the spreadsheet for you, it is a holiday weekend so if she's available she will take care of it for you right away
@Bandit's Mom
Could you assist Toitlelady by creating her spreadsheet when you are available, Thank you

Bandit's Mom can help you. I tagged her above so when she sees the notification she'll come by to help. The instructions do need to be updated @Tim & Pookey

Do you have a Google account? If not, you'll need to create one. You can use whatever email address you use. You don't need to set up a Gmail account.

Click on this to get the World spreadsheet for Human meters: FDMB World/US 12/12 Insulin Spreadsheet Template

If you're not signed into Google, click on the blue Sign In box at the top right corner of the page.

Then go to File (right under the title of FDMB World/US 12/12 Insulin Spreadsheet Template). Then click on Make A Copy. You then get a box that says Copy Document. Rename the document to your cat's name. Where it says Folder, be sure it says My Drive. Then click on Make A Copy. A new browser window or tab will open up with your newly created spreadsheet for your cat :)

At the bottom of the screen are three tabs: US mg/dl, World mmol/L, and labs, Enter your mmol numbers in the second tab. Just click on the name of the tab. I think the spreadsheet automatically converts the mmol numbers to mg/dl and puts the number in the US tab.

EDIT: I didn't add the instructions to share the spreadsheet so that FDMB members and even your vet can view it. Looks like Bandit's Mom has sent you a PM to help you.
