My Velcro is Gone

A little over three weeks after DX of intestinal lymphoma.

He had a hard time recovering from the ultra sound and stopped eating for days until I had to syringe feed him. Out of the blue he was his old self, eating and all the P’s, which only lasted one week. He threw up a huge hairball one morning and that was it…..no more food and in a lot of pain. Just in a matter of hours he was dehydrated and despite our best efforts I had to take him to the vet for IV fluids. Two days on fluids he seemed better and even ate a little. On the day he was to come home Dr said he was concerned that he hadn’t urinated that AM. Blood test confirmed his kidneys were shutting down and you could see that fluid was collecting in his chest.

He passed in my arms wet with tears.

Fly free my sweet gentle guy….16 years was just not long enough. Give my love to Drooler Dusty and brother Ce Ce.

Oh Gail, I'm so sorry about Velcro. He sounded like a wonderful, gentle guy. Losing a special friend like Velcro just hurts so darn much. Sending BIG warm hugs. Fly free sweet Velcro.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Many tears here. Velcro is flying free now, whole and healthy over the Rainbow Bridge. rb_icon

Gail, I am so sorry. You are quite right- it's never long enough. Setting him free was the last, greatest act of love you could give him ... he was where he felt safest -in your arms, surrounded by your love, and that is a gift beyond measure.

Oh Gail, I am so sorry that Velcro had to leave you! I know what you're going through. I too lost a kitty today, my Sam passed from cancer. Please be kind and gentle with yourself! (((((Hugs)))))
 
I am so very sorry. What a sweet, beautiful boy. I had a kitty, Beau, who looked so very much like Velcro. May God bring you comfort and peace.

(((Gail))) I am so sorry. It never feels like enough time, but he was so loved and so happy, now he is free from pain and sending you all of that love from above.
