Joey loves his flea comb, so I give the ear to be poked an extra good combing. He doesn't have fleas, by the way - but I have the comb from the previous cat who went outdoors and had a few bouts of fleas.
I sandwich the poke between two big layers of grooming. In fact, I keep his two kits together and when he sees them come out, he doesn't seem to notice the testing gear. HTH.
I just got a 181 and that's 3 hrs after b'fast. Huge sigh of relief. He's still OTJ but has been eating like mad lately. He wolfs his food down and I almost don't have to wash his bowl. Maybe he's just loves his Friskies.
