Rock it Marble!
Took a look at your SS. Those BG readings you are getting are a little bit higher than we like to see for a cat not getting any insulin and being tested on a human meter. We like to see between 50-130 for 14 days without insulin, with the majority of those numbers being below 100.
You might try to spread out the meals a bit if you can. 4 meals or more a day if at all possible may help take the pressure off Marble's pancreas and give you some lower readings at those AMPS and PMPS times. The mid-cycle numbers are showing us that Marble's pancreas is kicking in and lowering the numbers.
If you get a reading over 100, it's a good idea to test at +3 to +4 to see if the BG levels are lower. That will show us that Marble is able to produce some of her own insulin and even after eating, she goes lower. That's what we want to see.
We normally like to see the insulin dose reduced from 1U to 0.75U to 0.5U to 0.25u to 0.1U before you do an OTJ trial. We feel it gives a stronger chance at a long lasting remission.
Of course, ECID and they don't always follow the program. My Wink sure didn't. ohmygod_smile Looks like Marble has the same idea.
Keep a close eye on Marble, keep up those BG tests and we'll see if Marble is ready to be diet controlled. If she isn't ready yet and those numbers keep going up, it may be necessary to start her back on insulin for a bit. I had to do that with Wink.
