hey everyone. I just wanted to let yall know that wednesday morning we had to put GenGen to sleep. He was 3 years old. He was very sick for 2 weeks. On friday he was diagnosed having diabetes. We were in the vets office every day after that. Pumping him full of fluids and everything else. From as fast as he went down hill, and no recovery in site at all, we found it best not to let him suffer anymore. Could tell he was hurting, he was so weak and his weight was down to nothing. We believe that he must of been born with it or had it in his genes and developed it real young. And were unable to catch the symptoms because he was always acting those ways. Noticed that he was always hungry acting, but assumed that was from him being in the shelter and having to fight for food and noticed he was drinking more water but we got him a cat water fountain around that same time. Keep thinking what we could of done sooner. Trying not to beat myself up over it, but its hard. But I know we gave him a great few years...just wished it could of been many more!
Even tho he was only 3 years old, I'm grateful we got him from the shelter when he was a kitten and gave him a wonderful spoiled life. Rest in peace, my baby boy...we will always love and miss you!
I would also like to Thank everyone that offered advice and concern in my previous post.
