My CRF kitty won't eat, has diarrhea or constipation.

My granny kitty, Scrapper, won't even look at her food right now. I just gave her some dry Evo that I had left in the house, and she ate that. She's also having diarrhea, I think. It's just liquid stool. I don't know why or what to do. My concern was that she was constipated instead and just passing watery stool as an effort to pass some harder stool, but I'm afraid to give her anything (like Miralax) in case I'm wrong. She's not making a bunch of trips to the box or straining that I can see. She threw up once. She's pacing all over the house, too.

She's 16, and I feed her canned Wellness.

Sounds like she needs to go to the vet to get that bowel issue checked. Because you are right...I think sometimes liquid can come out instead of the formed, blocked poo. And I know sometimes they can vomit when they are "backed up" too.
At least she is eating something...yes, she needs water for her kidneys, but I know you had a problem with your kitties not eating. So eating anything is an improvement.
I really hope she feels better soon.

Thanks Jill. :) My youngest two ate pretty good today ... I think they just get bored sometimes. I boiled chicken and put the broth in their food, which helped.

But, Scrapper (CRF), just will not eat more than a nibble. She'll eat yogurt, dry food (Evo cat & kitten), chicken, and begs for everything. She'll beg for her food, I'll put it down, and she'll just walk away. I'm so frustrated.

I know I can pill her with something else to stimulate appetite, give her fluids, all that stuff ... but she gets so upset by even a pilling every couple of days, that I almost don't want to do that to her every day. I think her quality of life will suffer. Is that crazy?

As far as the potty problems, I think she got into Petie's food yesterday and I give him Miralax. I put a dollop of baby food on top of his regular food with the Miralax & water in it so I know he's eating it. I think Scrapper got into it yesterday, and is feeling the result today.

So has she had a regular bowel movement yet? I know it can be hard to tell whose is whose sometimes. I really hope all will be well with your kitties soon!
