Please feel free to "report" this thread if you like but I have something to say.
As many folks have said I am the one who holds the syringe so although I read the advice on here, the ultimate decision is mine. Mel had been the one weighing in on dosing advice, I trust her advice as I have seen the success she has shown me with her own sugars and she has been regularly encouraging me in my condo. I am not at liberty of knowing who on here knows what they are doing and who is just learning like the rest of us. Just because they post a lot does not mean anything. As people post in my condo and I get to "know" them better, then trust is developed and I am willing to listen to what they have to say. I now have a handful of people that I know are experienced and I trust, who I also know, care about Silver. But I am no more willing to blindly accept the advice of those who I have never "spoken" to in my condo before without any previous communication than I am to blindly accept the trust of my vet. Just because your names are in green ink doesn't mean I will blindly trust that advice either, unless trust has been built up first, that can hardly be expected.
As for yesterday - Jill - I did reduce the dose as advised. However, if you had read the whole thread you would have known that I had thought I had given a fur shot. NOWHERE in any of my condos had anyone mentioned not redoing the dose until I read it in the proposed new SLGS protocol in the Think Tank. Hence my comment there about wishing that had been made a sticky and saving myself yesterday's redosing.
That is all I am going to say on the matter. I have a right to my opinion. I will not be responding or reading any comments in this thread. I was saying MY piece as everyone else seemed to want to weigh in yesterday, I was too upset to make my own comments.
Once again, I thank those who have commented with Silver's best interest at heart.
Juliet and Silver - who by the way - is fine.
