Hello everyone, I also am new to your group.
My Cat Mickey has been a diabetic for a few years now. This past Wednesday evening we noticed that he is in trouble. We rushed him to a local Emegency Hospital and we now have his medicine/food routine switched up. He has developed Diabetic Neuropathy and is not walking. He is dragging his back side more or less and is very weak. I know we were told that this will get better once he is regulated on the new insulin/food but I just worry... I'm so sad for my boy and have done alot of crying. Thank God I did not lose him!!! Have any of you experienced this and had their babies bounce back? Thanks in advance for any advice.

What food are you not feeding?
What insulin, how much and how often
Did the vet discuss testing Micky's blood glucose level at home using a human meter. Mose caretakers here do that.

Mickey can get much better, so don't get discouraged. And we can help you with that.
Did the vet mention Zobaline (Methyl B-12) to help with the neuropathy?
Please let us know which insulin and food you'll be using, and what sort of dose the vet recommends?

My cat didn't suffer from neuropathy, but many people here have dealt with it and although it can take some time, it can be fixed.
