Just to report -- Murphy has been off insulin for over one month now and we are focusing on treating her iatrogenic Cushing's by gradually and slowly decreasing her Flovent to a point where she is not having any asthmatic events, yet is still controlled. However, just 3 weeks off of the Ivermectin for the demodex, it appears that it may be slowly rearing its ugly head. I wish there were something I could do for her little immune system, but on the Transfer Factor idea, when I rec'd my can in the mail, there was a stick on the front of it for Prop 65 (or some other proposition in California) that certain minerals in it may cause cancer, birth defects and other health issues, so I am passing on that.

I'm very please right now w/ her little milestone. She's been such a trooper. She's been truly blessed getting through all of this, and I hope it will continue.

i'm sorry to hear she's having such problems. the two of you have been through so much. :(
i took a peek at murphy's spreadsheet, but it's not up-to-date. is she still running in diabetic numbers (over 120)?

SWEET!!! so glad she's still OTJ...and sending healing vines for her other issues.

you guys have truly been through the mill...

good to see you!

Good to see you. I am sorry for all the issues - you indeed have been through alot. Mannie and I send healing vines, hoping they will help. Good luck with everything. it is great to read that she is still OTJ. :-D

Thanks you guys! Listen, this is the funniest thing. This morning, I was blowing my hair dry, and I heard this loud meow, and it was Murphy! She was in the living room playing with her little crochet catnip pillow and was totally acting like she had caught a mouse! She was carrying the pillow in her mouth and just roaring like a lion! I laughed hysterically -- it's been years since I've seen her like this. So, it's a combination of so many things, no insulin, no diabetes, reduction in Flovent, and using the acetyl l-carnitine, which I think is the largest part of her getting over this hump. Matter of fact, I think I might start taking it! It was so funny -- just can't tell you!

:)

Congratulations on your one month OTJ! Sending you happy vibes for speedy healing on the other challenges.

And the crochet mouse -- totally warms my heart!

isnt it cool when they go back to "young kitty" behavior??

the best...totally warms the heart.

Binks got a "supervised visit" outdoors today...the first one in 2 years...

he sat on the concrete patio for most of it...

hello to murphy from binks!

Wow, he got an outside visit! That's terrific. Murphy is doing so well. All the fur on her neck that hadn't grown back from when she was initially hospitalized last August, has now almost grown in over the last month of so! It's amazing. And, truly, the acetyl l-carnitine had made such a huge difference her in personality, I just can't believe it, and what they say about it is totally true! She is playing and her coat looks terrific and she's actually got some thriving to her now. She is even more vocal -- well quite a bit vocal! I'm so blessed, well she is so blessed. I prayed that the Lord would put his hands on her and he did.

Anymore outdoor visits since?

Lisa
