Murphy eating and low amps

Good luck tomorrow. With Bubba's dental, the vet told me to feed him 1/2 the amount he normally eats AM and 1/2 the amount of insulin. Are they putting him under for the ultrasound. I do not think they did for Bubba's.
 
No they are not putting him under but he can't have food in his belly or they won't be able to get an appropriate image - so he can't eat at all
 
Good to see Murphy enjoying Chicago! Really crappy weather now in the north, huh? I'm just south of Toledo and we had a heat wave of 17F today :eek:

I have no idea about insulin before the vet's when they've been asked to fast for a procedure.... But we hope to hear as soon as you know anything after the diagnostics! :bighug:
 
Then maybe just whatever he will eat tonight with insulin to match? You might check his bg just in case they check it and say he is super high. Then you can say he is likely stressed as you got a much lower number?

okay but his amps have been running super high as well - even with a normal dose of insulin I think if it is above 400 tomorrow, I'll give him 0.5 units - that should be fine, do you think?
 
Just commented on your new thread but just had to comment on Murphy's pic in Chicago. He is such a handsome boy. He seems so happy and content!
