Motor has crossed the bridge

We lost Motor on 1/24 at 127p PST.

His skin disease finally got him. It was just too much for us and him to handle. The vet agreed it was time to let him go.

He went from a heafty 22lbs (before Rx) and a healthy 14/15 lbs OTJ. When he passed, he was under 11lbs. He was just (some) skin and bones.

This is the hardest thing I've ever gone thru. He went peacefully in my arms, but wow. Coming home and not calling for him is almost impossible. Trying really hard not to run to the humane society and get a couple of orange boy kitties. We decided to get opening night tickets to the SJ Sharks instead. Not time yet.

Had a dream about Motor last night. He came to me with his little toy frog he carried around, jumped up on the table I was working on. I was working on a ground plan for work and he dropped the frog on the plan and I woke up. Think I'm gonna get a new tattoo with the frog on a ground plan for my baby.

I just thought I'd share with all of you, because you all understand what we have gone thru ... Thank you for everything! I would have been very lost if it weren't for this website. I have passed it onto friends and gotten them to test and low-carb food. Even my vet is making sure people home test now!

I did just buy a new package of lancets, if anyone in the SF Bay Area wants them. Just PM me and I can send them to you. Or if you need a night out, I work in live theatre, come see a show and you can get the lancets!

I'm sorry you lost your friend. I love it when they come to visit in dreams - the tattoo sounds like a wonderful way to remember him. Fly free, little Motor wings_cat

So sorry about you loss of Motor. How sweet he has visited you in your dreams.

If getting a couple of orange boys helps, go give some orange boys a home. We never replace them, but sometimes passing some love on to another kitty in need helps heal and distract our broken hearts from the pain at least a few moments out of the day until the pain eases.
