Ok ... we have a few greens lately. LOVE THAT! But not sure how to stay that way.

I am free feeding him. But he never eats more than a few bites at a time. He's a snacker. I don't have a job that lets me feed him several times a day so he's figured it out for me!

Next week I have some "time off" during the day. I'm going to do a curve on him then. (hopefully it won't be so beastly hot next week!)

Anything else I can do or just hope that the P plays along?

I think he is looking great, Jaimie. It will be nice to see a curve to see how low he goes during the cycle. We usually say a cat off insulin should have numbers between 40-120 with the majority of time in double digits. Motor seems to be practically there.

OK, I got confused! Is he getting any insulin? A curve is really only if they are on insulin, to see how they are affected by it during the course of the insulin cycle. Of course if he is not getting insulin, you can certainly do spot checks to see how he is at different times of the day.

It looks to me like he is doing great - often they will run a little higher (low blues) at first, and then drop themselves down into more greens after a few days w/o insulin. Looks like he is doing that, which is awesome. I would keep going like you are - if you start seeing higher blues and they aren't coming down then you might want to give a small dose, but so far it looks like he is headed in the green direction, yay!

I agree with Joanna. The only 'curve' I'd do is take a pre feeding number in the morning and test again 3 to 4 hours after eating to see how the pancreas is working with the food.
