Ok this morning we're at 139. Still in the blues ... but. He just ate, we'll see what he's like in a few hours. *Fingers crossed*

I think his morning numbers are getting higher because of hairballs.

Before dx he would throw up a lot. Sometimes because of the food and others because he was mad at us (didn't do something he wanted or were gone too long). But now it's just hairballs.

Is there anyway to minimize this?

Since you can't use the usual hair ball remedies the vet sells (adds sugar for flavoring) you can try adding just a little bit of mineral oil to his food at night. Helps the passage of the hair through the digestive system instead of them throwing it up. Mineral oil and petroleum jelly are the two main active ingredients in most hairball remedies.

I have found sugar free hairball remedies at Walmart and on line.

Does it also not include the artificial sweeteners such as xytol or sorbitol? Those are bad for kitty systems over time too.
