Ok last night pmps we were 126.

This morning we're at 28???!!! I can't help but feel that is wrong ... I'll test again in a few hours after he's had his 2 morning "snacks". He's seems just fine, albeit a little cranky about the sticking.

This dance makes me dizzy! :?

I am to inexperienced to offer any advice, but to me that sounds low. Good that Motor isn't receiving any insulin though. No chance of hypo when there isn't any insulin involved.
Did you try getting a second reading just to be sure?
I know my meter has been throwing me wonky numbers that I can't explain and when I do a double test, they usually come back in a range I am used to seeing.
Just a suggestion.
Motor appears to be doing great!

Feel free to come try on my dance shoes any day!!

Ok +6 and i got a LO on the meter. Did the check with the control solution and it was lower than the first time I did it.

WHAT??? Not sure what to do. Try to test again? :?: :?:

I don't know... But, if I was in your situation, I would prick my finger and test myself. I have done that often when I wasn't sure the meter was correct.

Then if I was convinced the test was okay, I would retest Motor.

Just a thought --

I wish I had something I could tell you, but I am just as stumped as you.
Any chance you can test with a different meter? Just throwing it out there. Some folks have a back up meter just in case something happens. Most of us newbies don't! All things considered, at least it is a good thing Motor hasn't has any insulin.
Maybe someone will be along shortly and can provide some more info.
If Motor doesn't mind, I suppose it couldn't hurt if you tested him again.
I would. But that's just me.

I am as intrigued as you, so I will be watching.

I don't have another meter! But I tried to test again but he's just not having it.

Maybe I can get the hubby do it when he comes home from work.

UGH!

I am also with Kim, I have tested myself a few times to make sure it is working.
THank goodness no insulin!

Hmmm, that is weird! Did you try testing yourself? Or do you have another fur kid you can test? Sounds like a meter problem. Did you definitely get a full drop of blood?

I'm trusting he has been acting ok? If he is acting fine and has gotten no insulin, it pretty much has to be the meter. If he is not acting well though, I would go to the vet asap.

Thank you for worrying everyone!

Hubby tested him pmps tonight. He was at 128. Which is more the "normal" lately.

So it seems that I was using both sides of the test strip which is a no-no. Oops!

Tomorrow will be better.
