PS he was 131. He's eaten. And then has spent the rest of the day walking around the house and mewing. I've tried playing (he just plays for a few minutes and then stops). Tried putting him on the bed and he just looked at me and jumped down. Tried brushing him and he just tried to attack me. (a game he plays with his dad).

He seems bored and very cranky. Any ideas? Is he due for more insulin? At least a little?

What is he trying to tell me???

Hi Jaimie. Wish I could tell you what he's trying to tell you. My kitty Max can sometimes be in just a mood. I'm not the most experienced in the PZI forum, but thought I'd give you my 2 cents. Motor's numbers OTJ (off insulin) look pretty good for the most part (yay Motor!). The 130's are a teeny, tiny bit on the high side. I would keep checking in with testing to make sure they don't go any higher. If they start to creep up higher, you might consider a micro dose of insulin (really small dose like a drop), which can help support the pancreas healing and staying in the more normal #'s. You'd want to be home to test though and I'm not sure you have that need yet.

Yes, I'm with you Judy...good clarification. I would keep close eye on Motor's #'s but not do anything until you got to the 150-180 range and only if the #'s stayed there. If they're going up and down, maybe wait it out.

A few hours later -

It started to rain outside and he cried to lay out on our porch. So I put him on his shelf and he fell asleep watching the rain. Then he came back in a cuddled in my lap.

Who knows?? As my hubby would say - he's moody like his mama!

I have to agree with the others..I woulnt shoot until 150 or 180 and make sure he is
going up...

It could just be one of those days for him,...

I don't have his SS open, but I think he's come down on his own to greens from this level before, right? So yeah, I'd keep getting in tests here & there and only give insulin if his #s are creeping up and not going down on their own.
