Ok after last night's 43, this morning we're at a 128.

These numbers are so confusing! He's eating as I type this ... and seems much more energetic and happy. (Wish he'd starting jumping again tho!)

This dance makes me dizzy!

Wow!
I'm new to this dance and no dosing expert, but those numbers look AWESOME!!
:RAHCAT :RAHCAT
Looks like Motor will be having an OTJ party in the not to distant future!
No-jinx, paws and fingers crossed.

Wanted to add.
You should try to get some checks in today, if your schedule will allow it, to see how Motor reacts to food.
Others may not be as interested as I, but, my Callie Mae's #'s tend to drop after eating and from what I've read, most kitties's #'s rise.
I'd be curious just to see what Motor does. Like say and hour or so after eating.

It would be really interesting to get a test an hour or so after he eats to see how his pancreas reacts to the food. My guess is his bg will come down.

Even in non diabetic cats their blood glucose levels fluctuate.

You are doing great!

So glad you starting home testing.

There is plenty of help here. Just continue to test and post his numbers.

Alright - at +6 he was 86. Looks like the P is playing along again. At least a little bit.

Yay! (Trying not to get too excited).

Awesome! From here I think the general idea is you test the 2 regular PS times for 2 weeks, and only give insulin if they go over a certain level (180? strategies & opinions vary), and then only a tiny amount. If they stay in non-diabetic numbers and especially some greens for the 2 weeks, then we get to have a party! His #s may jump around quite a bit, but as you saw today the trick is to figure out if he is bringing the #s down on his own or not. If he steadily creeps up and feeding doesn't lead to a drop in BGs, that's where you want to consider some insulin, or if PSs are consistently getting close to 200. We've seen some cats go up as high as 180 and come back down to greens on their own, but you don't want to let them sit up there if they aren't coming down.

WOO HOO! Test before bed and dinner was a 74. Looks like Motor's getting the hang of this. He even didn't moan or kick me when I stuck his foot. He even stayed in the towel burrito until I spun him out of it!

We'll see what morning brings!
