From here I think the general idea is you test the 2 regular PS times for 2 weeks, and only give insulin if they go over a certain level (180? strategies & opinions vary), and then only a tiny amount. If they stay in non-diabetic numbers and especially some greens for the 2 weeks, then we get to have a party! :mrgreen: His #s may jump around quite a bit, but as you saw today the trick is to figure out if he is bringing the #s down on his own or not. If he steadily creeps up and feeding doesn't lead to a drop in BGs, that's where you want to consider some insulin, or if PSs are consistently getting close to 200. We've seen some cats go up as high as 180 and come back down to greens on their own, but you don't want to let them sit up there if they aren't coming down.
