OK- so Rudy is at 155 AMPS and we are getting ready to go to work for the next 9 hours. Not sure if we give him a reduction (thinking 2)? or if we just skip this shot entirely? Good problem to have

Thank you for your response! I really appreciate it. He hasn't eaten yet this morning and is pretty upset about it, so I think I can do 1 1/2 and feed him Thanks again!

Go, Rudy! And Karen, I think it was wise to give him only 1 U after that nice, blue AMPS number, especially since you're out of the house all day and won't be there to monitor. It's hard to know what to do when they start throwing better numbers at you and you've only had experience with higher numbers. I'm having the same deal with Hannah, although her numbers are nowhere as nice as Rudy's. Out of the house all day today, too, so I shot very conservative, as I just never know what she is going to do with that insulin.
