Peanut was diagnosed Aug 11, 2015. Today is his 35th day off the juice! I have seen recommendations on this forum to continue to test weekly. When can I test less often, after several months, or should I test weekly forever - assuming he stays off the juice. Also, what is the normal range when using the Alpha Trak 2? I can't seem to find any definitive numbers.

Per the Merck Veterinary Manual, Online
"The normal fasting value for blood glucose in dogs and cats is 75–120 mg/dL."
To the extent that the AlphaTrak 2 is intended to replicate these kinds of values, this it what you'd be looking to use. Also check with your vet.

This AlphaTraker Software manual has some default ranges listed, too, on page 17.

That says 80 - 180. I saw in another post someone had a link to the manual. I thought 180 was too high, so I thought that I wasn't understanding exactly what they meant. Also, I had seen the 70 - 120 numbers, but I thought that was for the human meters. Thanks for responding!
