Hi All,

getting there with gathering curvy numbers for Luna but i don't speak spreadsheet...

i think last nights .25 might have been a bit heavy too. i read all the stuff provided on handling lantus. what they don't tell you though is that the vacuum in the new insulin pen is strong, and if you withdraw the needle too fast it sucks the insulin right back in the pen. i went through several syringes after flicking at non-existent air bubbles wondering where the insulin disappeared to. hopefully it was small enough that this new insulin can withstand a small insult. i changed syringes each time and it doesn't leave the fridge except to dose it out.

her spirits are good as they usually are!

Last i read we want her hanging in the 100-200 range, is that still the goal? at least at this stage?

thanks!

i think they need to make smaller syringes cause measuring these tiny amounts is "wicked hahd". her numbers sure looked good last night though. going for the skinny .5.

thanks!

I think you have the 3/10 cc syringe, correct? That's the smallest they make so that has the largest barrel and is easiest to read. When I had to micro-dose my kitty named Misty I bought reading glasses from the pharmacy so I could get below the 1/2 unit mark.

They make pet syringes you can buy on ADW, the benefit is they are triple beveled, slightly more comfortable for my Kiki but they are the exact same size as the regular 3/10 cc, 5/16", 31g syringe so not much help in the seeing what dose you're giving department.

But I do! If you would like, make me a 3 column list of the date, time, and glucose levels.

I can pop them into Excel and put them where they need to be, then paste them into the Google Docs template spreadsheet program we have with your name and publish it to the web to share.

Then you login in to your google docs account, copy the file to your account, and save it. Voila! spreadsheet accomplished.
