AMPS +14=455, gave .25u @ 715...felt wetness on fur, may have been a fur shot. ohmygod_smile

Happy Friday the 13th...ugh!!

It happens. I lost count of how many times I did that, or stuck myself with the lancet or syringe!

PMPS=331 @ 710

Administered .25u @715

Ok...since I'm seeing a pattern now...I'm gonna try to be a little proactive here :smile:

Since this is his 3rd consecutive shot (every 12 hours), I'm going to guess that he will be under or at the cusp of 200 for tomorrow's AMPS. Since ill be home from work & able to monitor throughout the day, how does that work again? Is it feed, wait 20 min, then retest & shoot if over 200? Or no food, wait 20 min, retest & shoot?

Wait, test, then feed. If you feed first, # is food-influenced.

Re: Mittens 9-13-13 AMPS 455

Now wondering if tonight might be a late night, did a +5 and i'm getting 90...will stay up and retest in an hour. Based on past readings, Mitttens usually peaks around the 7-9 hour mark nailbite_smile

Yes-but it only seems like the .25 is effective if I can administer it every 12h, if I have to skip-it takes about 3 cycles for his numbers to start coming back down.

I've been doing some reading on the ProZinc vs the Lantus, and since PRoZinc isn't a deposit insulin, does this seem strange?
