Another 'Yippee'! Missy has been on the antibiotics 2 1/2 days. The vet had me halve her dose because she was vomiting. Since then, she has stopped vomiting, seems pretty much her old self (even brought me a dragonfly today...what a huntress!) and is eating well. Her AMPS today was 282 and I couldn't do any other checks, as I am waiting on test strips....tomorrow, thank God!) but tonight, after a solid, good day for her, she was at 112!!!! I don't know if it is the dose increase or the antibiotics....maybe the chin acne flare affected her diabetes, after all....but whatever it is, I am ecstatic! I did not do her PM shot. Is that the right thing to do in these circumstances?
I should be very diligent about testing, correct? In case the antibiotics ARE the reason, she may start to remit and may go low in her numbers....am I right?
I shouldn't get too excited, I know, but it is so nice to see her back down where she should be. I so hope it lasts!
If anyone has advice on how I should process, please let me know. Thanks!!
