I was thinking she needed a reduction, also. I am trying micro dosing, so been backing down from 6.5 units. Right now we are 6.5 minus 2 drops. So, when she clears the bounce, I will go to 6.5 minus 3. She is still bouncing, 337@AMPS. :cry: but she came down, mid cycles, a bit. Yesterday she was 259 at +3 and last night she was 261 at +3, so at least a little movement.
My vet emailed me yesterday. Not good. She isn't getting any help from her internist friends and is suggesting a specialist. I don't truly have a problem going to someone else, but I hate to have to stress her out by driving her an hour one way. I had emailed Dr. Mark Peterson previously. He is a well known endocrinologist. They didn't want to do a phone consult with my vet and I because of legal concerns. (need to actually SEE her) But they did say they would answer some questions from my vet. She hadn't gotten back to him, so I asked her last night, if she would. I told her I am willing to pay for her time, so maybe she will do it this time. I would really like him to review her case. Maybe he can give me some options check out.
Sorry for the ramble.....I get so discouraged some times and then she throws me a low number and I start to hope again.
at PMPS tonight. Yay. We stalled for two hours when she 116 and gave her her shot. She historically skyrockets if we skip. I hope she doesn't bounce too crazily but it was good to see some green, too.
