Hi! I am new to the board, and am fostering a cat from DCIN named Miss Kitty. She came to me today, and was very stressed out and scared when she first arrived, but she has adjusted nicely now. My mom is Barbara, mom to Thumper. I just adopted Buddy, the Siamese from DCIN. He is doing wonderful, and is extremely spoiled, but we all like it that way (especially him!).

Miss Kitty's numbers were 327 at 8:26pm and 233 at 10:02pm. We gave her .5 of Lantus at 8:52pm.

Hopefully I can learn everything I need to, but I'm nervous! nailbite_smile I just want to make sure I'm doing everything correctly so I can try to help her out as much as possible. She's such a sweet cat! :-D

Jennifer, I responded to your post on Health about the way to post Miss Kitty's #'s until we get a SS going. Hopefully we will have time to work on that today.

Welcome to the FDMB Jennifer and Miss Kitty.

That is a very nice AMPS, especially on just half a unit. How long after the PM shot was that reading?

Who knows. Maybe you'll break Miss Kitty. :o

Welcome Jennifer and Miss Kitty,
Look at that beautiful green surf today -without insulin!! Hopefully you have another "broken" diabetic on your hands.

Venita,

That reading was +11.
Sue helped me get her SS on here. I hope she's a "broken" diabetic! nailbite_smile She still isn't eating well, but I found that she really likes the Fancy Feast Ocean Whitefish & Tuna, so she ate fairly well tonight. I usually have to pick her up and sit her in front of the food to get her to eat, though. She has gotten much more relaxed around me. She actually fell asleep in my lap this afternoon, all while purring and knitting my leg. Sometimes she comes and snuggles up beside me and lays down, knitting and purring. She also finally discovered one of her mice, so she was playing with that, and she swatted the feather toy on her scratching post a few times and chased it when my husband was playing with her. I can't believe someone would just leave her (or any others) & just walk away...

Marcy & Klinger,

Thank you! I hope so, too!
