Hi. We disappeared from radars a while ago, and probably nobody remembers us anymore. But I don’t want to be ungrateful. This community meant the world to us, and it is thanks to you that my girl returned to me for a couple of months right before everything went pear-shaped.
It’s just that my girl developed several tumors, and her diabetes became somewhat irrelevant. She had been very ill for a while, and finally on 01/06/2021 it became impossible to postpone the final decision any longer, she started crying, and about an hour later at home a capable and kind vet relieved her from all her pains.
I should have been ready for it, all things considered, but I’m still totally devastated and numb. She was perfect.
Thank you all for your help and compassion!
 
I do remember you and tried to check Mishka's SS after you stopped posting but it was no longer accessible. You had indicated in your last post that she had a lot more issues than diabetes.
I am really really sorry to hear about her. I hope the knowledge that she flies free of pain gives you some comfort.
 
I do remember you as well I’m so sorry for your loss. We never have them long enough. You gave her that one last gift and she knows she was loved. We never are ready. :bighug:

Thank you, Bhooma! I took our spreadsheet off the web at some point, because I was afraid any comment on it would have tipped me over the edge :(
 
I remember you and Mishka! I'm so very sorry you had to say goodbye to you precious girl. She has earned her angel wings now and is chasing butterflies on the other side.cat_wings>o

I understand about withdrawing...it's so very hard to deal with what you've dealt with...and sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

I remember you and Mishka:bighug:. I'm so, so saddened and sorry to hear that your beautiful girl has passed. I remember how well you cared for her and tried to manage her multiple health issues. You chose to free her from her pain and that is an act of true love. Sending you support and prayers as you mourn. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you all for your kind words! It still feels surreal, as if she is alive somewhere, just not here. And I dread staying at home alone without her now
