Tell us more about how you came across this.

DCIN is looking for a foster home for Soto. Soto has been to two vets in the Egan, MN, area since DX 8 days ago. Those vets have been disappointing. How Soto's guardian, who is studying in Switzerland, found this vet clinic for yet another visit next week, I don't know.

I would love to clone this vet and Megan, the "diabetes technician" . . . a thousand times. (I have a feeling this is Megan's push. This is her website.)

I can't open the brochure, it crashes my laptop so I went to their website and checked it out.

Megans web site has a link to FDMB.

I think Harley's next vet visit will be to that clinic. It's not that far away from me.

I hadn't seen the link to FDMB, Rob. Hopefully folks can make it to the new Board from that link to the old Board.

If that clinic were near me, Ennis and I would be going there. Please do let us know how your visit there goes, if you do.

Harley has a wellness checkup coming up and I think I want to go there and see what their program is all about. I couldn't open any of the links on their website either. I'll try again from a different computer on Monday. Maybe I will give them a call on Monday and see if I can talk to Megan.

I'll see if they will update their link to FDMB when I'm there.

I'll let you know how it goes.

I opened the brochure and it is like a dream come true. I had asked my 2 vets (University and Primary) if there was any vet here in Mpls that specializes in diabetes. I was told "any internist is a specialist". The U vet talked about Blue Pearl clinic but this looks wonderful.

This is much farther for me but this place may become Harley's new place to visit.

just a suggestion...

megan is not new to the FDMB.
those of you who are interested in further reading involving megan, the "diabetes tech" should read through these 2009 threads carefully:

11/02 Buddy (Sarg) AM 505 +1 499

megan and soloman~question.........

draw your own conclusions.

pattie, the cat mentioned in the first thread, Buddy, is an IAA kitty just like Harley.

Hi Pattie,
One of our current IAA moms, Jan, is busy with some real life issues right now, but I plan to send her to you when she gets back. She has been up and down the dosing scale with Buddy, and fighting IAA for a good bit of time. Not a whole lot is known about IAA in cats, but what is known is that the antibodies cause a resistance that may be temporary, particularly if it's brought about by illness. Some of these cats can go into remission with a good dosing protocol. This has not happened for Jan yet, nor for Sharyn's Fiona either I believe, but we have gotten her down from close to 8u to 3.5 which is a substantial improvement.

I will be sending you a PM, or asking Jan to send you one, as soon as she is able to be online again. She'll be a wonderful help to you :) Not sure if you've seen it, but here's a link to our high dose writeup http://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=375

Well I don't think it matters what side anyone was on in that dog fight.

The truth of it is that if every Clinic had a Megan, none of us would probably be here right now would we?

And to take it a step further, aren't we the Megan's of the internet?

Thank you for saying that Rob. That was what I was feeling, but didn't know how to put my feelings into gentle words as you did.
