I’ll write her numbers in when I get back home but does anyone know what the prescription has to say in order for the RX card to work? It’s not totally clear on the website.
There’s an RX assistance card making it 99$ and I’ve done the vials so far but someone said the pen is a better deal?

if you know how I can find the info- I know someone has mentioned it on here before

I don’t know about the card but I preferred pens because I threw out over half of the two vials but used the pens to the last drop.

There are recent posts about this on this condo: https://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/buying-insulin-from-canada.203498/

the pen is a better deal
Pens are generally better deal because you don't have any waste (unless of course your cat is high dose then an argument could be made for vials being the better deal); they'll last in the fridge down to the last drop. It's a good time of year to order from Marks (well depending on where you live...my first order was end of summer so I paid for some extra cooling). The people at Marks are the nicest if you haven't ever spoken to them before.

I have ordered from them before but I since I found the prescription card I got a 10 ML bottle for 99$ at the pharmacy and one pen from them was around 85$ and it was nice to just pick the RX up.
I think you can even get 3 pens for the 99$ if I remember reading that somewhere.. someone posted it has to be written correctly in order for the discount card to work.

Yes. If stored in the fridge it lasts and I got 6 months out of a vial. A box of 5 pens lasted over a year and none was thrown out.

If you can afford to pay for 5 pens from Marks at once - and I know not everyone can - it's the best deal - In September, I paid $205 total for 5 pens or ~$41/pen - my price included shipping to NC and extra cooling (so it would be a little cheaper without the extra cooling). Hope you can find an rx that works for you :bighug:

I’m sorry. I haven’t bought Lantus since 2010.

Side note- Mimi went to a new vet today who I LOVE!! She actually knows about feline diabetes!!
They said she weighs 13.8 lbs now. Wonder if that means anything. The vet didn’t seem terribly concerned.
