Thanks, Wendy. I have to admit that I've been mainlining chocolate today! I'm kind of surprised that he's clearing the bounce so fast too, not that I know that much about it. Mikey does not read the right books!

If he were to go below 50 over the next couple of cycles, it would probably be the depot from the .25U dose talking and not a true reflection of what the 0.1U dose can do. Some people try a dose of one drop after 0.1U, some go to waving the syringe over the cats head. :-D As an exercise, you could see how many drops there are in the 0.1U dose you did today. It would be nice to see Mikey flatten out and get a lot more green cycles before going off insulin though.

I have to say that I don't really thing he's ready to be off insulin yet. He's so all over the place.

Good question. Let's hope he's slowing down enough that you can stay at this dose without him going below 50 tonight.

At least he's slowed down - 160 points in the first couple of shours, 110ish in the next hour, 25 in the next hour. that's a good thing.

ah, just saw your question about feeding. it's not necessary, but if he wants some you could give him a bite.

Looking at his spreadsheet, I'm wondering if our little Rubber Ball is going to bounce again. Ugh! I'm fading fast, and Don is too. Cool it, Mikey!

With his past couple of days, I wouldn't go to sleep while he's still dropping. sorry for the bad news!

I used to sleep on the sofa, with the lights on and set a very loud cell phone alarm if i couldn't stay awake. Perhaps that will work for you. I think you could go til +5 for your next test.

Giving a bit more LC. Should I be switching to HC? My guess is no, but I don't trust my guess.

Save HC for under 50. The LC might help him coast.

It's good to have that guideline. Thank you! He's coming back up from his 4.5 reading. What should I be doing now? Other than laying odds on when we see the bounce!

Since you've only given LC, you could leave out a little bit more LC for him if he wants it and hit the pillow. If you really want to make sure he's safe, I'd do one more test in 1/2 hour and call it a night if he's up or the same.
