? methylcobalamin versus cyanocobalamine

Hello,

My dear Tosca shows symptoms of neuropathy in her back legs.
I looked for methylcobalamin but I didn't find the format for pets. I found on Amazon as sublingual pills or drops, many have cherry flavor. Should I buy that?

At the pet store I found cyanocobalamine drops for cats. Should I get that instead?

I was thinking to start the treatment instead of getting her tapped for the vet stressful visit..

Any thoughts?

I live in Canada, other forum users managed to get methylcobalamin in Canada?

Thank you!

I finally found from Natural Factors, 210 pills of 1000mcg mythylcobalamin. The only problem is that I see it has this non-medicinal ingredient: Lactose monohydrate. Could this be a problem? I know cats are lactose intolerant but I imagine it is only a small quantity.

That's a form of a natural sugar in milk. It won't harm your cat but keep an eye on blood glucose levels just in case the small amount of sugar affects levels.

Vitacost is what most US people seem to use instead of Zobaline: https://www.vitacost.com/vitacost-vitamin-b-12-methylcobalamin-5000-mcg-100-capsules-6 They do ship to Cananda.

You'll want to also give folic acid 200 mcg along with the methylcobalamine. Zobaline contains folic acid.
