I have heard this form of b12 is very beneficial...what forms does it come in? (Tablet, injectable?) If tablet, how bioavailable/absorbable is it? Dosage for cats? Are Xobaline and Zobaline the same, or 2 different things? As you can see, I need help! Thank you so much! Also, where to buy? Terry and Daisy

There are 2 types of Vitamin B-12
- Methylcobalamin is used for diabetic neuropathy.
- Cyanocobalamin may be used for pancreatitis.

Either can be added to food as both are water soluble. They may be available as injectable forms too. Any excess over what the body can use is excreted via the kidneys, so it may work better to just add it to meals.

Note: the urine may turn a brighter shade of yellow from the vitamin.

My understanding is Zobaline does not contain sugar like the xobaline does

you don't have to buy the ones designated for animals (it's more expensive usually) you can purchase this from any human store that sells vitamins - the key is to read all the ingredients to make sure it doesn't contain sugars and such - many contain cherry flavor....I purchased mine online from vitacost.com and got this one: http://www.vitacost.com/vitacost-vitami ... 0-capsules

While it is a little pricier than others, I liked that it didn't have any sugar, just a little rice flour (Other Ingredients: Rice flour, vegetable stearic acid, gelatin and vegetable magnesium stearate.) that did not seem to affect Maui's bg's at all. It also comes as a capsule so I emptied the entire thing into her food, added water and served.

She got this once a day.

The average daily dose is 3-5 mg or 3000-5000 mcg
