After waiting many weeks from my pharmacist, they finally received my methylcobalamin B-12. They told me they had to order it because they didn't have the "pure subtance" in the store. I told them it was for a pet that has neuropathy and they said not to worry since there was nothing added (they even specified no sugar or Xylitol). But I just got home and unfortunately, Methylcobalamin is not the ONLY ingredient, and since I dont know much about medicine, I dont know if I'm about to give my cat something toxic! Here are the ingredients:

Methylcobalamin B12
Paraben 10%FH (E216+E218)
Purified Water

Is it still ok to give it to my cat? Anyone else sees paraben in their B12 ingredient list?

Have you looked at your human pharmacies to see if they sell the methyl b12? You can purchase one for humans and give it to the cat, just read the ingredients.

And I don't know if this mail order location will ship internationally, but this is the one I used and where I purchased it for Maui.

It's intended for humans, but I used it with Maui and other have used it too without issue.

Just another suggestion.

Hope + (((Baby)))GA, thanks for sharing he info!
I am afraid enough of paraben to just throw away that 50$ worth of sh*tty b12!

That's exactly what I did and that's how I ended up waiting for that specific MethylB12 useless substance. Here in Switzerland they only have Cyanocobalamin available. Methyl is rare, precious, hard to find and expensive!

Anyway, I decided to wait for my Cosequin order and give that glucosamin product a chance before trying to buy B12 again. My cat has been OTJ since the end of February so the fragility of her legs might just be related to arthritis and not to a diabetic neuropathy anymore. I mean she does walk almost normally compared to when she had high BG levels, but there's still that fragility with her legs and she doesn't run and play exactly like she used.
